Hello!

PeKa’17 is a Polynesian visual artist based in Tahiti.

Her actual name is Tahutini Penelope.

The name PeKa’17 comes from the story of how she started to paint with and thanks to her daughter Kalani.

In 2017, they were painting together in an exploring and experimenting journey.

They exhibited several times from 2020 onwards.

But then as Kalani became a teenager, she wanted to try other ways of expression whereas Penelope became more and more passionate about painting as a way to heal and feel better.

Today, Penelope’s work explores dreamlike abstraction inspired by the ocean, nature, memory and invisible worlds.

Through intuitive gestures and vibrant energies, she creates emotional landscapes where tropical light meets inner consciousness.

Her paintings invite the viewer into a sensitive and spiritual journey, between movement, silence and deep connection to the living world.

Rooted in Polynesian energy, her artistic language blends exotic strength with emotional delicacy.

Her works are currently available internationally.
